Millennial’s & Generation Z are accelerating the Homeworking and BYOD requirements to the businesses of today.
The 19 – 35 Demographic will make up the greatest percentage of the work force but more striking is that Millennial’s will make up over 50% of the work force in 2020.
60% of those surveyed by Gartner stated that the provision of state of the art technology was an important factor when considering a job.
Those businesses that respond to this will have a more effective & responsive work force…..What is your flexible working strategy?
If you fail to supply them with the right flexibility and tools they will simply look elsewhere, so i think the challenge here is to make working in teams as easy in business as it is using WhatsApp at home – while catering for the fact that work is a more serious business than play.
If you ever wondered how the generation game is mapped then here is a snapshot…Millennials are those born between 1982 and 1995 (24-37) and Generation Z born between 1996 and 2010 (9-23).
So…. What next?
My belief is the biggest impact to business that will touch us all is IOT….but how much of this is hype and how much of it is reality.
There’s no doubt as sensors become embedded in and on our bodies, homes, workplaces and cities, the data they generate will have the potential to transform our lives.

The benefits of IOT are simple to see, and when merged with the advancements in Artificial Intelligence to capture those things we want to monitor it becomes an efficiency and cost saving solution for the modern agile business and the world as a whole.
